Changing sustainable energy for the planet.

Brendan MacDonald, the founder of Ekstera and professor at Ontario Tech University, has developed a groundbreaking new design for a Stirling engine that presents a massive opportunity to rethink energy generation and heat recapture to make it more carbon-free, reliable, and inexpensive.
 

Going from the lab to the market.

With multiple peer reviewed scientific papers and patented technology in the US (pending in Canada), Brendan needs to figure out what market to address and how to generate funding to go from prototype to demonstration project to fully commercialized product.

Empowering a more equitable tomorrow.

Breedlove Entrepreneurship Center is an accelerator program developed by the YWCA based out of Chicago and is dedicated to empowering black business, closing the resource and wealth gap to transform communities.
 

Create access, educate & inspire a community.

42% of all women led businesses are black owned, yet they are still under resourced and under funded. Breedlove’s accelerator partner pulled out of the program 1 week before launching their second cohort–leaving the YWCA without curriculum, facilitators and speakers.
